Suitable wiring and tightening torque are described below.
■Differences and precautions regarding installing the FX3G and FX5S
The pitch of the holes for installation in a control panel differs between the FX3G and FX5S. When making a direct installation
in a control panel, installation holes must be added. Also, because the terminal block shapes differ, one terminal block cannot
be replaced with the other. ( Page 24 External dimension drawing)
■Differences and precautions regarding the drive power supply of the output section of the
FX3G and FX5S
• Output section power supply voltage consolidation
When replacing the FX3G with the FX5S, the power supplies must be consolidated if a separate power supply has been
installed with one output common terminal of the FX3G.
• Maximum output load current
When the FX3G is replaced with the FX5S, the maximum load current of part of the output section changes.
For Y0 to Y3 on the FX3G-24M, one common terminal is used per output, but this changes to one common terminal for four
outputs for Y0 to Y3 on the FX5S-30M.
If separate power supplies have been installed with each common terminal, consolidate the power supplies.
