check to ensure that

components

properly
connected
to this unit
and are operating
normally.
Then
check
the
following
items.

blown.

SPEAKER
SELECTOR
switch
positioning
o Nominal
speaker
impedance
is less than 4
ohms
and
protection
circuit
is operating.
oSpeaker leads or
plugs
not
completely
plugged
in.
oSpeaker
(+)
and
(-)
leads are
touching.
oCorrect
the switch
position.
o Use speakers
with nominal
impedance
of 4 ohms
or above.
oPlug
in completely.
oSeparate
the leads.
o Noise
oTurntable
output
cord
too close
to
power
cord.
o Plugs not
completely
plugged
in.
o Put
the turntable
output
cord as
far
as
possible
from the
power
cord.
o Plug
in completely.
o Howl
ing
oCaused
by feedback.
This
occurs
because
speaker
vibrations
are
being transmitted
to the turntable.
o
Place
the speakers
and the turntable
as far
apart
as
possible.
lt
is also
helpful
to
put
an insulator
under
the turntable.
oPoor
sound
quality
oToo much
power
applied
to speakers-
oAdjust
"Volume
(Attenauator)"
on
your
preamplif
ier.
o
No
stereo effect
and
poor
bass
oSpeaker
leads or
plugs
(+)
and
(-)
are reversed.
oCorrect
the speaker
leads or
plugs
connection.
o
No
sound for
5
-
7 seconds
after
power
is
switched
on.
o
lVuting
circuit
is
operating
to eliminate
the
popping
noise
when
power
is turned on.
oThis
is
not
a
malfunction.
