I 4 I Adjusting the Operating Speeds
1 Adjusting the maximum speed {speed available with the pedal fullytoed)
Two variable resistors are available for adjustment ofthe maximum speed; one Is located in the control box
and the other on the control boxpanel. The external variable resistor (knob) allows adjustment between
low speed and the maximum speed set by the Internal variable resistor H.The Internal variable resistor H
Is factory-set as follows:

3000 spm {LT2-2230-B)
Low speed to maximum speed.
Toset to any speed outside the above range, adjust the internal variableresistor H,using a speed meter.
CAUTION
Thespeed set bythe internal variable resistor Hand external knob cannot be exceededifa larger
motor pulley Is used.
2. Adjusting the lowspeed(speed available withthe pedal slightly toed)
Thelowspeed is adjustablewith the
Internal variable resistor L. Clockwise turn Increasesthe lowspeed
and counterclockwise turn decreases. The speed is adjustable between 160 and 320spm (factor-set to
250spm).

3. Positioning speed
The positioning speedcan be adjusted bythe Internal variable resistorP (factory-set to 250spm). Turn it
clockwise to increase and counterclockwise todecrease, the adjustable rangeis 160to 320spm.
4. Adjusting the thread trimming speed
The threadtrimming speed can be adjusted bythe internal variable resistor T.Turn Itclockwise to Increase
and counterclockwise todecrease,the trimming speed is factory-set to 200spm andmay depend on the
sewing machine used. When adjusting this speed, refer to the sewing machine adjusting manual of
contact the service agency.
5. Adjusting the backtacking speed
Whenanyon the control switch panels (option) Isusedfor backtacking, the backtacking speed (medium
speed) isadjustable withthe internal variable resistor M which Is factory-set to1400spm(at high speedof
4000spm).
