3. Move the duct (C) to the front of the vehicle.
4. Remove the duct (C) after removing the air
cleaner filter (D).
5. Check the position of the fuel filter (E).
6. Loosen the plug (G) at the fuel filter (E) with
the hexagonal wrench (5 mm).
Loosening the plug forces the water out
through the drain pipe (F). Put a tray under
the drain pipe (F) to prevent any water
drained out from getting on the vehicle.
CAUTION
l
Be sure to carefully clean away any water
drained out because any fuel mixed with
the water could ignite and cause a fire.
NOTE
l
Up to 350 cc drains.
7. Tighten the plug (G) when water no longer
comes out.
8. Install the air cleaner filter and put the cover
back on in its original position.
NOTE
l
After replacing the air cleaner filter, make
sure that the hinges at the bottom of cover
are firmly set.
9. Put the duct back on in its original position.
10. Bleed the fuel system to remove air. (Refer
to “Bleeding the fuel system” on page 6-06.)
