4.7.2 Concept of I/O assignment using GX Developer

I/O NUMBER ASSIGNMENT
5) Last I/O number
In I/O assignment, set the last I/O number not to exceed the maximum
value( CHAPTER 2)of the I/O points.
An error ("SP. UNIT LAY ERR.") will occur if the last I/O number exceeds the
maximum value of the I/O points. (System monitor of GX Developer shows
"***" as an I/O address.)
POINT
1. When the Q5 B/Q6 B is used together with the QA1S6 B, QA6 B and
QA6ADP+A5 B/A6 B

as the extension base unit, pay attention to the
following points.
Mount the Q5 B/Q6 B, QA1S6 B, QA6 B, and QA6ADP+A5 B/
A6 B in order from the nearest position of the main base unit.
Assign the I/O number of a module mounted on the base unit, putting
each series in block and in order of "Q series A series" or "A series
Q series".
An error (“SP.UNIT LAY ERR.”) will occur when the I/O number of the
module is not assigned in the above order.
2. The number of slots of the QA6ADP+A5 B/A6 B is always displayed in 8
slots, regardless of the number of slots of the extension base unit to be used
in combination with the QA6ADP.
* 1 : When using the QA1S6 B as the extension base unit, the QA6ADP+A5 B/A6 B cannot be
connected.
