Cautionary items during operation/Précautions à prendre pendant le fonctionnement

After the engine starts, turn the throttle lever to the low-speed position, and warm
up the engine for approximately 2
〜
3 minute.
As it is warmed up, the smooth acceleration
will be gained.
・
Soon after starting, don't rapidly rev up the engine since the lubricant is not
sufficiently distributed to each part.
・
Tur ning the throttle lever to full open, and having the engine run at very high speed
continuously is not recommended. Since this causes not only shortened life of the
engine but also engine trouble, prevent no-load high-speed operation and
unnecessary high-speed revolution.
CAUTION
・
Before operation, be sure to check the engine referring to "Inspection before
engine operation".
・
Do not run the engine in a room or poorly ventilated place. (The exhaust gas
includes odorless but hazardous carbon monoxide.)
・
Do not put your hand or foot near any moving or rotating part.
・
If any fuel or gas leaks at the joined area of the carburetor, muffler, fuel tank,
crank case, cylinder or the like, immediately stop the engine. (Have it repaired
at the dealer or service center.)
・
Do not aimlessly adjust the revolution speed setting of the engine.
・
Since it may cause a burn, don't touch any hot muffler or engine part.
・
Do not operate the engine when grass, leaves and/or combustible materials are
stuck to the inside or surroundings of the muffler.
・
During operation, don't touch any spark plug cap or high-tension cord.
(Otherwise, it may cause an electric shock and harm your body.)
・
Do not run the engine with the muffler and air cleaner cover removed.
