USER CHANGEABLE SETTINGS
<PJ1> LOCATION #1 - - NON-TOTAL KEY (NT1)
Jumper on = Upper right key <non-total>
Jumper off = All count keys add into grand total
<PJ1> LOCATION #2 - - COMPUTER OR PRINTER OUTPUT SELECTION
Jumper on = Data output to both Printer and Computer ports.
Jumper off = Data output to Computer port only.
<PJ1> LOCATION #3 - - COMPUTER PORT PROTOCOL TYPE (BID)
Jumper On = Bi-directional data control utilizing ACK/NACK protocol.
Jumper Off = Unidirectional data flow to computer.
<PJ1> LOCATION #4 - - ASCII DATA WORD LENGTH
Jumper On = Word length set to 7 bits.
Jumper Off = Word length set to 8 bits.
<PJ1> LOCATION #5 - - PARITY STATUS
Jumper On = Parity Enabled.
Jumper Off = Parity Disabled.
<PJ1> LOCATION #6 - - PARITY TYPE (provided Parity has been enabled)
Jumper On = Even Parity.
Jumper Off = Odd Parity.

COMPUTER INTERFACE
The COMP-U-DIFF workstation may be connected directly to a lab computer system by means
of the supplied communications interface cable. The port is EIA and RS-232 compatible with
pins configured as shown below:
