How to fix faded or poor quality printing on Monarch 9416 XL?
    • J
      Jerry NewmanJul 27, 2025
If your Monarch Printer's printing appears faded or of poor quality, verify that the supply is loaded correctly. Cleaning the printhead can also improve print quality. Inspect the supplies and ribbon (if using a thermal transfer printer) for any damage or defects, and reload if necessary. You may also need to adjust the print speed/darkness (contrast).

If the Monarch Printer is not printing, even with a green indicator light, start by checking the cable connections between the host and the printer. Also, ensure that the supply is correctly loaded and that the cover or supply door is completely closed. Cleaning the printhead might also resolve this issue.

What to do if Monarch Printer stops printing with red light or printing is not lined up?
    • C
      curtisemilyAug 11, 2025
If the Monarch Printer stops printing and the indicator light turns red, or if the printing is not lined up correctly on the supply, try calibrating the supply. You can also try loading a different supply to rule out any issues with the current one. For thermal transfer printers, ensure the ribbon is not empty. Also, verify that the black mark/die cut sensor is correctly set for your supply type. Finally, check for and clear any label jams.

Why does the supply exit partially or skip on my Monarch Printer?
    • R
      russellcastilloAug 16, 2025
If the supply exits partially or skips when using the Monarch Printer, it might be caught inside. Ensure that the supply and ribbon (for thermal transfer printers) are loaded correctly. If you are using thermal transfer printing, make sure thermal transfer supply (that requires a ribbon) is loaded. If using thermal direct printing, make sure thermal direct supply (that does not require a ribbon) is loaded.
