First use
Before using the pressure cooker for the first time, we recommend
cleaning all the parts with hot water, soap and a soft scouring pad. Do
not wash the lid in the dishwasher.
Fill the pot with water up to 2/3 of its height
(1).
• Close the pressure cooker (see previous page: Close).
• Place the cooker on the stove at maximum level.
When the pressure cooker reaches the cooking pressure and the
steaming begins to be released, you can reduce the heat to medium
low level to maintain a steady level of pressure.
When 20 minutes have passed since the previous point occur, turn off
the heat completely.
To depressurize the pressure cooker, press gradually the pressure
releasing device
(3) all the way down using a cloth, until all the steam
and pressure has been released through the steam releasing gap
(2). Be careful to keep your hands away from the steam release area
during this process.
To reduce the pressure quicker, you can cool down the pressure cooker
by pouring a small stream of cold water on the lid (only on the edge, in
order to avoid water getting inside the pressure cooker).
• Once the steam is completely released, the lid is ready to be removed.
Wash and dry the cooker lid and body.
