Maintenance Features:

Annual Inspection: The fireplace and its installation should be inspected yearly by a qualified service person. This includes checking the vent system, termination, explosion relief flappers, door gaskets, burner, primary air openings, gas valve, gas components, pilot flame, and all optional equipment.
Glass Cleaning: The glass window must be cleaned periodically to remove film (a normal by-product of combustion). Non-abrasive, non-ammonia based glass cleaners (such as Kel-Kem or White Off) are recommended. Abrasive cleaners should not be used as they can permanently etch the surface.
Firebox Cleaning: The control compartment, burner, and firebox should be kept free from dust and lint using a vacuum cleaner or whisk broom.
Gas Line Leak Check: After gas line connection, all connections, valves, and valve train must be checked under normal operating pressure with a liquid solution or leak detection device to identify and seal any leaks.
Flue Gas Switch Calibration Check: A procedure is outlined to check the calibration of the flue gas switch, ensuring proper safety operation.
