      Cynthia YoungAug 4, 2025
If the pilot light is on, but the main burner won't light and the igniter continues to spark, you can: * Check the Pilot Flame Sensor Rod and clean it with steel wool or a similar material. * Check the Pilot hood and clean it with steel wool if it's dirty. * Adjust the pilot flame using the pilot adjustment screw if the pilot flame is too long or too short. The flame should fully engulf the sensor rod and must be stable. * Check and make sure the ground wire from the pilot is connected to the fireplace body.
