Usage Features
The washing machine offers a user-friendly interface with a program dial and an electronic display.
- Program Selection: Users can select from 15 programs, including "Cotton 90°C," "Cotton Pre-Wash," "Eco 40-60," "Easy Care," "Wool," "Rinsing," "Spinning," "Hand Wash/Delicate," "Colours 40°C," "Mixed," "Blouses/Shirts," "Fast 60 min.," and "Rapid 15 min." The program dial is turned clockwise or anti-clockwise to select the desired program.
- Temperature Adjustment: The washing water temperature can be adjusted using a dedicated button. The temperature indicator LEDs on the display panel show the selected temperature.
- Rapid Wash: This additional function allows for shorter wash times, using less energy and water, recommended for loads less than half the maximum dry load.
- Half-Load Detection System: If less than half the maximum load is placed in the machine, it automatically activates the half-load function, reducing cycle time, water, and energy consumption.
- Child Lock: This feature prevents unintentional operation by children. It is activated by pressing and holding two specific buttons simultaneously for at least 3 seconds.
- Start/Pause Button: Initiates or pauses the selected program.
- Program End Indicator: The display panel shows "End" when a program is complete, and the door lock releases, allowing laundry removal.
- Cancelling a Program: A running program can be cancelled by turning the program dial to the "STOP" position, which will stop the washing operation and discharge water.
Maintenance Features
Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the appliance's longevity and optimal performance.
- Detergent Drawer Cleaning: The detergent drawer should be removed and cleaned every 2 months to prevent residue buildup. This involves pulling the drawer forward, pressing a release catch, and cleaning it with warm water and a soft brush, paying attention to the conditioner section and syphon tube.
- Water Inlet Filters Cleaning: The water inlet filters, located at the machine's rear and the tap end of the inlet hose, prevent dirt from entering. They should be cleaned every 2 months or when water intake is insufficient. This involves unscrewing the hose, using pliers to pull out the filters, cleaning them with a soft brush and soapy water, and then re-inserting them.
- Pump Filter Cleaning: The pump filter, located behind a cover on the front-lower right corner, should be cleaned every 2 months to prevent lint from entering the pump. A container should be placed underneath to collect excess water before turning the filter anti-clockwise and removing it. After cleaning any foreign materials with a soft brush, the filter is re-inserted and turned clockwise.
- Flush Stopper Cleaning: The flush stopper, located within the detergent drawer, should be disassembled and cleaned to remove softener residue, then properly refitted.
- Body Cleaning: The external casing can be cleaned with a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent or soap and water, then wiped dry with a soft cloth.
- Drum Cleaning: To prevent rust stains caused by metallic objects, a non-chlorine cleaning agent should be used, following the manufacturer's instructions. Wire wool or similar hard objects should not be used. Periodic cleaning using the "Drum Clean" or "Cottons-90" program is recommended every 2 months.
- General Advice: Unplug the machine and turn off the water supply if it will be unused for a long time. Leaving the door open helps prevent humidity buildup. Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners, or glass cleaners on plastic surfaces.
