Maintenance Features:
Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for optimal performance and longevity.
- Detergent Drawer Cleaning: Recommended every 2 months to remove residual build-up. The flush stopper should be disassembled and cleaned, and the drawer thoroughly washed with warm water and a soft brush.
- Water Inlet Filters Cleaning: Recommended every 2 months, or when the machine receives insufficient water. Filters are located at the rear of the machine and in the tap end of the water inlet hose, requiring removal with long-nosed pliers, cleaning with a soft brush and soapy water, and thorough rinsing.
- Pump Filter Cleaning: Recommended every 2 months to prevent lint from entering the pump. The filter is located behind a cover on the front-lower right corner. Users should place a container to collect excess water, turn the filter anti-clockwise to remove it, clean foreign materials with a soft brush, and ensure the pump turns by hand before re-fitting.
- Body/Drum Cleaning: The external casing should be cleaned with a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent or soap and water. Rust stains in the drum should be cleaned with a non-chlorine cleaning agent, avoiding wire wool or hard objects.
- General Advice: Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners, or glass cleaners. Unplug the machine and turn off the water supply when not in use for a long time. Leave the door open to prevent humidity build-up. Periodic cleaning for the washing machine is recommended every 2 months, using the Drum Clean programme or Cottons-90 programme if Drum Clean is unavailable. Limescale removers specifically for washing machines should be used when required.
