I. Using the supplied butt connector,
connect the black/white wire to the
remaining wire from the hood
safety switch.
J. For gas engines, route the Red/
Yellow wire to the top of the engine
at the coil connection point as
shown. Center-splice the Red/Yellow
harness wire into the Blue/Yellow
wire (2005 KJ) or Red/Yellow wire
(2004 KJ) at the coil following the
center-splice procedure on page 7.
Solder the connection.
K. For diesel engines, route the Red/
Yellow wire to the drivers side ECM
at the connection point as shown.
Center-splice the Red/Yellow wire
into the Dk Blue/Grey wire at pin #38
of the 57-way ECM connector.
Solder the connection.
Gas Engines
Diesel Engines
F. Locate the Pink/Red wire (2005 KJ)
or Lt Green/Orange wire (2004 KJ) in
pin #5 of the grey 10-way multifunc-
tion switch connector, found above
the steering column. Center-splice
the harness Lt Green/Orange wire
into this wire, following the center-
splice procedure on page 7.
G. Locate the Green/Violet wire (2005
KJ) or Black/Red wire (2004 KJ) in
pin #2 of the white 6-way connec-
tor, found directly below the steer-
ing column. Center-splice the
harness Black/Red wire into this
wire following the center-splice
procedure on page 7.
H. Route the two remaining wires
(Black/White and Red/Yellow)
through the cowl panel and into the
engine compartment.
