Assignable Radio Functions
• Call Alert – Allows the radio to function like a
pager, or to verify if a radio is active on the
system.
• Emergency – Depending on the programming,
initiates or cancels an emergency alarm or call.
• Monitor (Conventional Only) – Monitors a
selected channel for all radio traffic until function
is disabled.
• Radio Profiles – Allows you to access a set of
preprogrammed visual and audio settings of the
radio.
• Rekey Request – Notifies the dispatcher that a
new encryption key is needed.
• Scan
– Short Press: Toggles the scan function
between on and off.
– Long Press: Enables Scan List Programming
and selects the scan list for editing
• Site Display/Search (Trunking Only)
– Short Press: Displays the current site ID and
Received Signal Strength Indivator (RSSI)
value.
– Long Press: Performs site search for
Automatic Multiple Site Select (AMSS) or
SmartZone operation.
• Site Lock/Unlock (Trunking Only) – Allows your
radio to lock onto a specific site.
• Talkaround/Direct (Conventional Only) –
Toggles between using a repeater or
communicating directly with another radio.
• Zone Down – Toggles downward through the
zones in the radio.
• Zone Up – Toggles upward through the zones in
the radio.
