DIMETRA Express and TRACES UMR
Interop
DIMETRA Express can be configured to work with the Terrestrial RF Automated Coverage Evaluation
Solution (TRACES) server with the Uplink Measurement Report (UMR) module. The TRACES server is
a repository database for the captured TETRA network uplink data.
For the TRACES UMR server to work with Express, your PC must be configured with TRACES UMR
connected to the Express server through Link 1.
9.1
Enabling DIMETRA Express Interop with TRACES UMR
Enabling the connection allows you to access base site location data on Link 1.
Prerequisites:Obtain the TRACES UMR license.
Procedure:
1 In Dimetra Express Network Manager, go to System Settings→General→TRACES.
2 Select the check box next to Enable TRACES.
3 Provide the IP address of the TRACES UMR PC on Link 1.
NOTICE: The IP address of the TRACES UMR server that is running externally on Link 1
is only available if the TRACES UMR server is enabled.
4 Click Apply.
CAUTION: Applying the changes in TRACES UMR configuration may cause 5 to 10
minutes of service outage.
9.2
Managing TRACES UMR Encryption Settings
NOTICE: This functionality is only available when the TRACES UMR server is enabled to
communicate with DIMETRA Express, and if the system has a Master Key loaded.
Procedure:
1 In Dimetra Express Network Manager, go to System Settings→General→TRACES.
2 If you want to configure an optional encryption key in the Base stations, perform the following
actions:
a Click the toggle switch next to Advanced so that it is set to ON.
b Select Load TRACES Encryption Key.
NOTICE: The key configured in Load Encryption Key must match the one in the
TRACES UMR collector on the TRACES UMR PC.
CAUTION: You must store the encryption key in a secure way.
