If necessary, press

mode. An indicator shows which mode is active (see page 42). If

Tap Mode Text Entry Rules
Press a keypad key repeatedly to cycle through its characters.
For example, you would press

one time to enter “
a
”, two
times to enter “
b
”, three times to enter “
c
”, or four times to enter

”.
After 2 seconds,
Tap
mode accepts the character, and the
cursor moves to the next position.
The first character of every sentence is capitalised. If
necessary, press
S
down to change the character to
lowercase before the cursor moves to the next position.
Press
S
to move the flashing cursor to enter or edit message
text.
If you do not want to save your text or text edits, press
O
to
exit without saving.
