Lock Onto a Site
In areas that commonly have weak signals, use the SmartZone lock
function to prevent the radio from automatically scanning for a new
site.
1 Press the Lck (W7) or Lock
(W9) button momentarily to
display the current lock
status.
Model W7: Either
LOCKED or
UNLOCKED is displayed.
Model W9: Either
SITE
LOCKED
or SITE UNLCKD is
displayed.
2 To change the locked or
unlocked condition, press
and hold the Lck (W7) or
Lock (W9) button until a tone
sounds and the display
changes.
After temporarily displaying
the new condition, the radio
returns to normal operation.
