2. For a better visual effect, make CAPPUCCINO in a transparent cup.
3. Milk for steaming should be skim or semi-skimmed and pre-cooled in a refrigerator. Steam
milk in a small diameter cup so that the froth does not disperse. Steamed milk can significant-
ly increase its volume.
4. Always thoroughly remove coffee remains from filter baskets. Even trace amounts of old cof-
fee negatively affect the taste of freshly made coffee.
5. Do not use ground coffee with sugar, because it may clog the filter basket and damage the
device.
6. Ground coffee will retain its flavour only for 7-8 days, provided it is stored in an airtight con-
tainer and in a cool, dark place. Do not store coffee in a refrigerator or freezer. Whole grains
should be ground just before use. Coffee grains kept in an airtight container retain their taste
for 4 weeks.
7. Ground coffee cannot have a too “powdered” form because it can block the flow of water in
the filter basket, even under high pressure, while too thick particles will not release the taste
of coffee completely.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
CAUTION! Disconnect the device from the power source and wait until it cools down completely.
CAUTION! Do not submerge the housing of the coffee machine in water or other liquids!
1. Clean the device after each use, only in this way the coffee machine will be able to release the
full taste of the brewed coffee.
2. Clean the housing of the device with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring
agents as they may scratch the housing of the espresso machine.
3. Remove the used coffee from the filer baskets (13) and then wash the filter baskets and the
portafilter (10) in warm water with a mild detergent, rinse and dry. The filter baskets and the
portafilter should not be washed in a dishwasher.
4. Clean the flat filter in the portafilter mounting socket (5) with a paper towel to remove any
remaining coffee. Periodically, use a screwdriver to unscrew the filter and rinse it with water.
Check the permeability of the holes in the filter. Screw it back into place.
5. In order to clean the milk container follow the instructions below (Fig.5):
- disassemble the milk container from the device
- remove the container cover (20)
-
remove the milk suction hose (21) and the steam connector (26) from the cover – see
markings on the cover; lift the flat silicone gasket on the cover
-
wash the container lid (20), the milk hose (21), the steam connector (26) and its gasket under
running water and then dry
