BEFORE FIRST USE
10. Unpack the device, and remove all stickers plastic bags, filling materials and transport locks.
Inspect the device carefully for damage which may have occurred in transport. Consult the
seller when in doubt.
11. Clean the device as instructed in Section “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE”.
12. Install all parts of the espresso machine in correct places.
13. Place the device on a firm, dry, smooth, horizontal and heat-resistant surface.
14. Perform the heating operation of the internal pipes of the espresso machine (see: “CLEANING
AND MAINTENANCE”).
DIP TRAY INSTALLATION
1. Place the drip tray (8) in the drip tray mounting space (7) and place the grate (9) onto the tray.
2. Two large holes in the grate (9) are located directly below the holes where coffee in the por-
tafilter flows out (10) – this is an indication of how to place a cup on the tray or two small cups
while brewing a double “Espresso”.
3. Depending on the size of cups used, you can also use an additional sliding stand (6).
CAUTION! Regularly empty the drip tray.
FILLING THE WATER TANK
1. Unplug the device from the mains.
2. Remove the lid (17) from the tank, grasp the tank (15) and pull it up.
CAUTION! The water valve (16) in the water tank (15) is protected by a rubber, orange protective cap. Remove
it before using the espresso machine for the first time; wear it in case of a longer period of inactivity of the
device.
3. Pour no more than 1.2l (MAX level) of drinking water into the water tank but no less than 0.2l.
4. Attach the water tank to the back of the espresso machine. While attaching the water tank
make sure that two hooks on the water tank casing are placed on two hinges at the back of
the coffee maker.
CAUTION! Do not fill the water tank past the “MAX” level. Do not turn on the device with an empty or detached
water tank. Use only cold drinking water. Do not use hot water.
FILLING THE MILK CONTAINER
1. Pull the milk container gently forward (19) and then lift it up.
2. Remove the lid (20) from the milk container.
3. Pour no more than 0.7l (MAX level) of milk into the milk container but no less than 0.1l.
4. Put the lid (20) back on the milk container.
5. Install the milk container in place (18) and then slide it gently backwards.
