Attaching Wheels
(Hardware E)
NOTE: The holes provide three cutting heights for your
mower. Use the same hole location for all four wheels
when assembling. For example, if you desire the lowest
cutting position, assemble each wheel at the highest
hole on the deck.
• Blockthemowersecurely.
• Placeaxleboltthroughthewheelwiththehubside
of the wheel facing the deck. See Figure 4-8.
• Placethesmallcuppedwasherontheaxleboltwith
the cupped side towards the deck. See Figure 4-8.
• Securethewheeltothedeckwithonelargercupped
washer on the inside of the deck (cupped side
against the deck) and the hex nut.
• Tightenaxleboltuntilcuppedwashersflatten.
Assembled the other wheels in the same manner.
• Remove blocks and put the mower on ground.
Attaching Starter Rope
(Hardware C)
• Thestarterropeisattachedtotheengine.Additional
rope may be wound around the starter handle. If so,
unwind the rope from the handle.
• Withthesparkplugwiredisconnectedandgrounded,
depress the blade control handle and pull the rope
out of the engine.
• Placetheropeguidearoundthestarterhandle,so
the opening in the rope guide is toward the front of
the mower. Insert the rope guide into the right side of
the handle, and secure with hex locknut. See Figure
4-9.
