  • Firmware Updates: The device firmware can be updated to access new features and improvements. The manual specifies the applicable firmware version for various models.
  • Restoring Defaults: The switch can be restored to factory default settings, which can be useful for troubleshooting or reconfiguring the device. This process clears all user configurations and passwords.
  • Product Disposal: The product must be disposed of in compliance with WEEE Directive 2002/96/EC marking requirements. It should not be discarded in unsorted municipal waste facilities.
  • Warranty: Effective January 1, 2008, all N-TRON products carry a 3-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. This covers defects in workmanship and materials under normal use and service.
  • Repair/Replacement: In case of a defect, N-TRON will repair or replace the defective item. An RMA (Return Material Authorization) number is required for any returns.
  • Safety Warnings: Adhere to all safety warnings to prevent injury or damage to the unit. This includes disconnecting power before working on the unit, not operating the unit with the top cover removed, and ensuring proper ventilation.
  • Environmental Safety: The switches are designed for industrial environments, but proper installation and maintenance are essential to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory approvals (e.g., ATEX, EMI, EMS, Shock, Vibration, Cold, Dry Heat, Damp Heat).
  • ATEX Installation Requirements: Specific requirements for installation in potentially explosive atmospheres, including conductor size, field wiring, mounting, temperature testing, bonding, and transient protection.
