What to do if the pilot sparks but the gas supply won't light on my Napoleon Indoor Fireplace?
    • K
      Kathy GonzalezAug 14, 2025
If the pilot sparks but the gas supply won't light on your Napoleon Indoor Fireplace, first, make sure the incoming gas line ball valve is open. Then, check that the inlet pressure is within acceptable limits, ensuring it does not exceed 13” W.C. (32.3mb). Also, ensure the air shutter opening is free of any lint or obstructions.

Why won't the pilot light on my Napoleon Indoor Fireplace light?
    • K
      Kenneth FowlerAug 17, 2025
If the pilot light won't ignite on your Napoleon Indoor Fireplace, check the following: 1. Ensure the sensor and igniter wires are correctly connected to the module. 2. Verify there are no loose connections, electrical shorts, or grounding issues in the wiring. 3. Test the igniter module for spark. Also, inspect the pilot assembly for shorts or cracks. 4. Confirm the igniter spark gap to the pilot is 1/8” (3.2mm). 5. Check the transformer installation, connection to the module, and voltage (6.2-7.0 volts A.C.). 6. If the power is off, check the batteries. 7. Remove and reinstall the wiring harness, checking wire continuity. 8. Troubleshoot with a simple ON/OFF switch. 9. Ensure the valve and pilot assemblies are properly grounded to the metal chassis.

    • L
      Lori PhillipsAug 21, 2025
If your Napoleon Indoor Fireplace continues to spark and the pilot lights, but the main burner won't ignite, check for these potential issues: * Verify all connections to the sensor rod are tight and not grounding out. * Ensure the flame is engulfing the sensor rod and that the correct pilot orifice is installed. * Confirm the wire harness is firmly connected to the module. * Clean the sensor rod with a fine emery cloth or synthetic scrub pad to remove any contamination.

Why is the flame impinging on the glass, logs, or combustion chamber in my Napoleon Indoor Fireplace?
    • J
      jason02Aug 25, 2025
If the flame is impinging on the glass, logs, rocks, media, or combustion chamber of your Napoleon Indoor Fireplace, make sure that the glass, logs, rocks, or media are correctly positioned. Too much glass media around the burner can cause carbon deposits. Open the air shutter to increase the primary air. Check the input rate (manifold pressure and orifice size) as specified by the rating plate values. Ensure the door gasketing is intact and the seal is tight. Verify that both vent liners are free of holes and well-sealed. Also, ensure that the minimum rise per foot has been adhered to for any horizontal venting.

    • A
      amandagriffinAug 27, 2025
If the main burner flame on your Napoleon Indoor Fireplace is blue, lazy, and transparent, check for a blockage in the vent and remove it. Also, check the venting system parameters, including the seal, length, and rise.
  • J
    Jonathan BowersAug 31, 2025
Why are the flames so aggressive on my Napoleon Indoor Fireplace?
