Contact an authorized Napoleon dealer to obtain a natural gas conversion kit approved for
use with this appliance.
The conversion must be performed by a licensed gas er.
Lava Rock Installaon
WARNING! Do not use the pao ame without the lava rock in place.
WARNING! Real rocks must not be used in this appliance. Heat will cause them to explode. If
replacing, use only replacement lava rocks available from an authorized dealer / distributor.
1. Carefully place the lava rocks onto the appliance’s burner tray.
2. Spread the lava rocks evenly over the burner tray.
3. The rocks must cover the enre burner tray while ensuring that the ignion poron of the burner is
clear of obstrucon as illustrated below.

Conversion to Natural Gas
ENSURE NO ROCKS ARE BLOCKING ANY OF THE OPEN PORTS ON THE IGNITION
PORTION OF THE BURNER, DIFFICULTIES IN LIGHTING MAY RESULT.

Lava Rock Condioning Instrucons
CAUTION! Lava rocks may react to heat by throwing fragments of rock. Be sure to condion the
lava rocks at a high temperature to avoid potenal personal injury.
1. Place a single layer of lava rocks on the burner tray as shown above.
2. Follow the Lighng instrucons in this manual to light the burner.
3. Set temperature to maximum heat.
4. Allow the lava rocks to heat at maximum temperature for 30 minutes.
