What to do if Napoleon Patioflame Outdoor Fireplace burner will not stay lit?
    • C
      christophersanchezJul 27, 2025
If the burner of your Napoleon Outdoor Fireplace won't stay lit when the control knob is released, several factors could be at play. First, ensure you're holding the knob in long enough to allow the thermocouple to heat up; try holding it for 30 seconds after the burner lights. High winds exceeding 10mph (16km/h) can also cause the unit to shut down, so consider relocating to a less windy area. Check for any rock fragments or debris in the ignition area, especially around the thermocouple, and ensure the small hole below the thermocouple is unobstructed. Clean the thermocouple and its connection to the valve, ensuring it's properly tightened. If these steps don't resolve the issue, the thermocouple or valve may need replacement.

Why is Napoleon Patioflame Outdoor Fireplace burner output too low on high?
    • D
      Danny Price MDAug 4, 2025
If your Napoleon Outdoor Fireplace burner output is too low on the “high” setting, accompanied by a rumbling noise and fluttering blue flame, the issue could stem from several causes. Begin by checking the gas level in your propane cylinder. Ensure the supply hose isn't pinched, which could restrict gas flow. A dirty or clogged burner orifice can also reduce output, so clean it thoroughly. Inspect the venturi tube for spider webs or other matter and clean it out. Finally, the propane regulator might be in a “low flow” state; ensure the lighting procedure is followed carefully, with all valves in the off position when the tank valve is turned on, and turn the tank on slowly to allow pressure to equalize. See lighting instructions.

What to do if Napoleon Patioflame burner won't light with igniter?
    • M
      Mary Jackson MDAug 19, 2025
If the burner of your Napoleon Outdoor Fireplace won't light with the igniter but lights with a match, there are several potential causes. First, replace the battery with a heavy-duty one, ensuring it's installed correctly. Next, check that the electrode wire is firmly pushed onto the terminal on the back of the igniter. Also, verify that the lead wires from the module to the ignition switch (if equipped) are firmly pushed onto their respective terminals. Finally, inspect the gap at the electrode tip and adjust it by bending the tip in or out until a spark is achieved.
