      Shannon GreenSep 13, 2025
If your burners burn with a yellow flame, accompanied by the smell of gas on your Napoleon Grill, it could be due to a possible spider web or other debris, or improper air shutter adjustment. Thoroughly clean the burner by removing it. See general maintenance instructions. Open the air shutter slightly according to combustion air adjustment instructions. Excessive flare-ups or uneven heat in your Napoleon Grill can be caused by improper preheating or excessive grease and ash build-up in the drip pan. To resolve this, preheat the grill with both main burners on high for 5 to 10 minutes. Also, clean the drip pan regularly and do not line it with aluminum foil.

Why is 'paint' peeling inside my Napoleon Gas grills lid?
    • E
      Emily RiveraSep 23, 2025
If you see what appears to be “paint” peeling inside the lid or hood of your Napoleon Gas grill, this is not a defect. The peeling is caused by hardened grease, which dries into paint-like shards that flake off. Regular cleaning will prevent this. See the cleaning instructions for details.
