PCI Express x1 switch The PCI Express Base Specification defines a PCI Express switch as
a logical collection of PCI Express-to-PCI Express bridge devices. A
switch enables MXI-Express x1 products to extend the PCI Express
fabric of a host PC to additional endpoints, such as PXI Express
products.
PCI-PCI bridge A device that transparently expands the PCI bus on a computer
motherboard to another bus segment in the same machine. The bridge
expands the number of PCI expansion slots, but remains transparent to
the end user.
ppm Parts-per-million.
PXI PCI eXtensions for Instrumentation. PXI is an open specification
that builds off the CompactPCI specification by adding
instrumentation-specific features.

target board The MXI-Express x1 board of a cabled pair of boards that is farther
from the CPU.
trigger Either TTL or ECL lines used for intermodule communication.
TTL Transistor-Transistor Logic.

keyboards, printers, and other peripheral devices.
