ThistestchecksthestatusoftheDPFiftheSootleveliswithinaRegenNeededlimit.Thetestwillautomatically
startaParkedRegen.
NOTE–TheKOERStandardTestmustberunbeforeperformingthistest.
ThistestwillperformacompleteParkedRegen.
EnginespeedisrampeduptoincreaseexhaustowthroughtheDPFwhiletheDPFDPsensormonitorsthe
pressuredifferenceacrosstheDPF .Thetestrunsforabout15minutes.IfaRegenisneeded,theengineramps
upforanother15minutes,butthistimetorunDPFRegencycle.
ThefollowingconditionsarerequiredforaOnboardFilterCleanlinessT est.
•EngineRunning
•EngineCoolantTemperatureisaboveoratleast170ºF(75ºC)
•Vehiclestationary
•InhibitDTCsmustnotbeactive:GotoRegenInhibitorspage152
•PTOnotactive(switchmustbeoff)
•Regeninhibitswitchnotactive(switchmustbeoff)
•Parkingbrakemustbeapplied
•Brakepedalnotdepressed
•Acceleratorpedalnotdepressed
•Drivelinedisengaged
•IftheSootleveliswithinnormalrange,thetestcompletesanddisplays“T estCompletedSuccessful.”This
testdoesnotgivepassorfailresults.Thetestonlyallowstheoperationoftheaftertreatmentsystemtobe
validatedbymonitoringtheeffectsofDOCIT ,DOCOT,DPFOT ,andDPFDPsensor.
•Ifthetestisaborted,gotoRegenInhibitorspage152.Ifnoregeninhibitorsareidentied,gotoappropriate
aftertreatmentsystemdiagnosticssectioninthismanual.
