HEIGHT MEASUREMENT ACCORDING TO THE PYTHAGOREAN
THEOREM
After switching on the unit with the CLEAR button (7), select the
height measurement function using the function change button
(2). The height measurement function is designed to determine the
vertical height from two intermediate measurements. To determine
the height, measure the upper edge of the triangle which flashes on
the rangefinder screen. Measure by pressing the MEASURE button
(1). Then measure the lower edge of the triangle in the same way.
The display shows successively:
length of the first side of the triangle
(1), length of the second side of the
triangle (2)
altitude - the distance between the measuring
points (marked in the figure above with a thick
arrow).
THREE-POINT HEIGHT MEASUREMENT (1)
After switching on the device, use the CLEAR button (7) to select
the three-point height measurement function.
Using the function change button (2). The height measurement
function (1) is designed to determine the vertical height from three
intermediate measurements (where the second measurement is
taken horizontally). To determine the height, measure the upper
edge of the triangle which flashes on the rangefinder screen.
Measure by pressing the MEAS measurement button (1). Then
measure the horizontal edge of the triangle and the lower edge of
the triangle in an identical manner. The display shows successively:
length of the upper side of the triangle
(1), length of the horizontal side of the
triangle (2), length of the lower side of
the triangle (3),
height - the distance between measuring points
1 to 3 (marked in the figure above with a thick
arrow).
THREE-POINT HEIGHT MEASUREMENT (2)
After switching on the device using the CLEAR button (7), select the
function
three-point height measurement using the change of function button
(2). The height measurement function (2) is designed to determine
the vertical height between the 1st and 2nd measurement point on
the basis of three intermediate measurements (where the third
measurement is taken horizontally). To determine the height,
measure the upper edge of the triangle which flashes on the
rangefinder screen. Measure by pressing the MEAS measurement
button (1). Then measure the next, middle section and the lower,
horizontal edge of the triangle in the same way. The display shows
successively:
length of the upper side of the triangle (1),
length of the central measuring section (2),
length of the lower, horizontal side of the
triangle (3),
height - the distance between measuring
points 1-2 (marked in the figure above with
a thick arrow).
AUTOMATIC DISTANCE MEASUREMENT
After switching on the device with the CLEAR key (7), select the
distance measurement function using the change function key
(2). The distance measurement function is designed to determine
the distance (height) from a single measurement. Measure the
diagonal distance between the distance you are looking for and the
height by pressing the MEAS measurement button (1). Based on
this distance and the angle at which the rangefinder measured it,
the height (vertical) and distance (horizontal) will be determined
automatically.
The display will indicate successively:
