The NeoCharge Smart Splitter is a device designed to simplify home EV charging by enabling safe, cost-effective, and effortless access to existing 240V outlets without requiring expensive rewiring or panel upgrades. It acts as an intelligent power management system, allowing two high-power appliances or electric vehicles (EVs) to share a single 240V circuit.

Function Description:

The core function of the Smart Splitter is to monitor the total power draw from both connected outlets and automatically manage power distribution to prevent circuit overload. It prioritizes power to a designated "Primary" outlet while intelligently switching power to a "Secondary" outlet when the Primary device is not actively drawing high power. This automated switching ensures that the combined load does not exceed the circuit's limit, thereby maintaining electrical safety and preventing tripped breakers.

For EV charging, the Smart Splitter allows users to plug in two EV chargers into a single 240V outlet. When one EV is charging (connected to the Primary outlet), the Smart Splitter ensures it receives power. Once the Primary EV finishes its charging session or reduces its power draw, the Smart Splitter automatically switches power to the Secondary outlet if another EV is connected and attempting to charge. This eliminates the need for manual switching or costly electrical upgrades to support two dedicated EV charging circuits.

Beyond EV charging, the Smart Splitter can also manage power between an EV charger and a high-power appliance, such as a clothes dryer. In this scenario, the appliance would typically be connected to the Primary outlet. When the appliance starts drawing power, the Smart Splitter automatically pauses EV charging from the Secondary outlet. Once the appliance finishes its cycle, EV charging automatically resumes. This "Appliance Auto-Switching" feature provides convenience and ensures that essential household appliances can operate without interruption while still allowing for EV charging.

The device operates with a "minimal amount of power" always available to the Primary outlet, even when the Secondary is active. This "idle mode" is specifically designed to power LED screens or allow for interaction with the Primary device, enabling it to be turned on, which will then completely shut off the Secondary. This ensures that devices connected to the Primary outlet remain responsive and functional even when the Secondary is drawing power.
