FattyAcidMethylEsterBiodiesel(BiodieselFuel)consistsofafamilyoffuelsderivedfromvegetableoilstreatedwith
methylesters.
NOTICE:BiodieselFuelblendsareapprovedforyourengineonlyiftheycomplywithEN14214SpecicationStan-
dardsorASTMD6751.
NOTICE:ItisimperativethatyoucheckwhichblendisapprovedforyourenginewithyourNewHollanddealer.Be
awarethattheuseofBiodieselFuelthatdoesnotcomplywiththeStandardsmentionedabovecouldleadtosevere
damagetotheengineandfuelsystemofyourmachine.TheuseoffuelsthatarenotapprovedmayvoidNEW
HOLLANDAGRICULTUREWarrantycoverage.
BiodieselFuelUsageConditions
NOTICE:TheBiodieselFuelmustmeetthefuelSpecicationmentionedabove.
BiodieselFuelmustbepurchasedfromatrustedsupplierthatunderstandstheproductandmaintainsgoodfuelqual-
ity.BiodieselFuelmustbepre-blendedbythesupplier.MixingBiodieselFuelson-sitecanresultincorrectmixture
thatcanleadtoproblemswithbothengineandfuelsystem.
EngineperformanceisaffectedbytheuseofBiodieselFuel.Theremaybeupto12%reductioninpowerortorque
dependingontheblendused.
NOTICE:DONOTmodifytheengineand/orinjectionpumpsettingstorecoverthereducedperformance.
ThereducedpowermustbeacceptedifusinganyBiodieselFuelblend.
SomemodicationmayberequiredtoallowyourenginetorunBiodieselFuel.Consultyoudealerforcomplete
informationonthesemodications.
BiodieselFuelhasahighercloudpointthanDieselFuel.
NOTICE:TheuseofhighBiodieselFuelblendsarenotrecommendedincoldweatherconditions.
WithBiodieselFuels,itmaybenecessarytochangetheengineoil,engineoillterandfuellterelementsmore
frequentlythanwithDieselFuels.BiodieselFuelcanremoverustandparticlesfromtheinsideofon-sitefuelstorage
tanksthatwouldnormallyadheretothesidesofthetank.LikeparticledepositsthatcommonlyoccurwithDieselFuel,
theseparticlescanbecometrappedbythemachinefuellters,causingblockageandshorteninglterlife.Incold
weather,thisismorelikelytohappen.ConsultyourNewHollanddealerforinformationoncoldweatheroperation
andpropermaintenanceintervalswhenusinganyBiodieselFuelblend.
WhenhandlingBiodieselFuel,caremustbetakennottoallowwaterintothefuelsupply.BiodieselFuelwillactually
attractmoisturefromtheatmosphere.
Fueltanksmustbekeptasfullaspossibletolimittheamountofairandwatervaporsinthem.Itmaybenecessary
todrainthefuellterwatertapmorefrequently.
Potentialoxidationandstabilitycouldbeaproblemwiththefuelstoredinthemachine.
NOTICE:MachinesmustnotbestoredformorethanthreemonthswithBiodieselFuelblendsinthefuelsystem.
Iflongstorageperiodsarenecessary,theenginemustrunonDieselFuelfor20hourstoushtheBiodieselFuelout
oftheenginefuelsystempriortostorage.
NOTICE:BiodieselFuelmustnotbestoredinon-sitestoragetanksformorethanthreemonths.
AnyspillageofBiodieselFuelmustbecleanedupimmediatelybeforeitcancausedamagetotheenvironmentand
thepaintnishofthemachine.
BeforeusingBiodieselFuelblendsyoushouldconsultwithyourdealertoreceivefullinformationabouttheapproved
blendforyourmachineandanydetailedconditionsofitsusage.
NOTICE:BeawarethatnotfulllingtherequirementsandconditionsofBiodieselFuelusagewillvoidyourmachine’s
