ASSEMBLINGROLLERANDMANDRELASSEMBLY

1. Removethemandrelnutsfromeachendofthemandrel.

2. Slideone4”roller(orifpurchased,a2”and3”roller)ontothemandrel.

3. Choosewhichdiscyouwillusebetweendiscslabeled“CONCRETE”andtheoneslabeled
“ASPHALT”.Discsmayhaveaplasticfilmcoverthatneedstobepeeledoffbeforeinstalling.
Notethat2”and3”rollershavetheirownseparatediscsthatneedtobeused.
Note:Thediscsrideonthepavementorfloorandhelpregulatetheamountofpainttheroller
applies.Concretediscsallowlesspainttobeapplied.
Asphaltdiscsallowmorepainttobe
applied.

4. Installonedisconeachendofthemandrel.Eachdiscwillbeflush
againstoneendoftheroller.

5. Ifyouareusinga4”roller,ignorethisstep.Ifyouareusinga2”or3”
roller,install
oneoftheplasticbushingsthatcamewithyour2”/3”
rollersoneachendofthemandrel.Eachbushingshouldbeflush
againstadisc.

6. Installthemandrelnutsoneachendoftheroller.

7. InserttheMandrelTube(‘L’shaped3/8"metaltubingwhichhasadiscandasmallrubberO‐
ringonit)intothemandrel(onlyonesideofthemandrelisopen)withtheO‐ringside
inward.

8. PlacetheMandrel&Rollerassemblyinthe"J"Yokes.TheMandrel
Tubediscwillbeontheinsideofthe"J"Yoke.TheMandreltubewill
pointtotheinsideoftherollercarrier(towardsthemachine
chassis).TheMandrelshouldslideupanddowninthe"J"Yokes
freely.









