What to do if my Nikon Coolpix P530 is on but not responding?

If your Nikon Digital Camera is on but not responding, first wait for any recording to finish. If the problem continues, turn the camera off. If it still doesn't turn off, remove and reinsert the battery, or disconnect and reconnect the AC adapter if you're using one. Note that while any data currently being recorded will be lost, data that has already been recorded will not be affected.

If the battery inserted in your Nikon Digital Camera isn't charging, check all connections. When connected to a computer, charging might not occur if 'Charge by computer' is off in the setup menu, if the camera is turned off, or if the camera’s display language and date and time have not been set (or were reset). Charging may also stop if the computer is in sleep mode, or may not be possible depending on the computer's specifications, settings, and status. Use the charging AC adapter to charge the battery.
