Why I cannot select paper size with my Nikon Digital Camera?
    • A
      allenmanuelSep 23, 2025
Paper size cannot be selected from the camera in the following situations, even for PictBridge compatible printers. Use the printer to select page size. The page size selected using the camera is not compatible with the printer. A printer that automatically sets the paper size is being used.

Why are the monitor and electronic viewfinder blank on my Nikon COOLPIX P100 Digital Camera?
    • A
      Adam JacksonAug 23, 2025
If the monitor and electronic viewfinder on your Nikon Digital Camera are blank, make sure the camera is turned on. Also, check if the battery is exhausted and replace if needed. If the camera is in standby mode, press the power switch, shutter-release button, or the c button, or rotate the mode dial. Note that the monitor and electronic viewfinder cannot be used simultaneously; press the x button to switch between them. Also, ensure that the camera is not connected to a computer via USB, or to a TV via A/V or HDMI cable. Finally, check if interval timer shooting is in progress or if the camera is connected to an electrical outlet via the Charging AC Adapter, which prevents it from turning on.

Why does my Nikon Digital Camera turn off without warning?
    • M
      michelle19Aug 26, 2025
If your Nikon Digital Camera turns off without warning, it could be due to several reasons. The battery might be exhausted. The camera may have turned off automatically to save power. The inside of the camera may have become too hot, in which case you should leave the camera off until it cools down. The battery might be too cold. The camera may turn off if connected to the Charging AC Adapter while turned on, or if the USB cable is disconnected while connected to a computer or printer.

What to do if my Nikon Digital Camera isn't taking pictures?
    • N
      nicole99Aug 27, 2025
If your Nikon Digital Camera isn't taking pictures when you press the shutter-release button, ensure the camera is not in playback mode by pressing the c or shutter-release button. If menus are displayed, press the d button. Check if the battery is exhausted. Note that the built-in flash won't raise during Night portrait or Backlight scene modes. If the flash indicator is blinking, it's charging. Also, the camera might be set to a shooting mode that restricts capturing a picture.

How to fix blurred pictures on my Nikon COOLPIX P100 Digital Camera?
    • S
      stevenvaughnAug 27, 2025
If your Nikon Digital Camera is showing a blurred picture, consider using the flash. Also, try using vibration reduction and motion detection features. You can also select D (Best Shot Selector). For best results, stabilize the camera using a tripod, and use it with the self-timer.

Why is saving images taking so long on my Nikon COOLPIX P100?
    • R
      rachel33Sep 17, 2025
Saving images may take more time on your Nikon Digital Camera when the noise reduction function is in operation, when flash is set to V (auto with red-eye reduction), when using scene mode Night landscape or Backlit scene HDR, when using skin softening, when using sport continuous, or when using Active-D Lighting while shooting.

What causes unexpected results when flash is set to auto with red-eye reduction on my Nikon COOLPIX P100 Digital Camera?
    • D
      dgrantSep 14, 2025
Unexpected results may occur when flash is set to auto with red-eye reduction on your Nikon Digital Camera because when V (auto with red-eye reduction) or “fill flash with slow sync and red-eye reduction” of the Night portrait scene mode is applied during shooting, In-Camera Red-Eye Fix may, in very rare cases, be applied to areas not affected by red-eye. Set a flash mode other than V (auto with red-eye reduction), select a scene mode other than Night portrait, and resume shooting.

Why are skin softening results not as expected on my Nikon COOLPIX P100 Digital Camera?
    • H
      hoconnorSep 15, 2025
If skin softening results are not as expected on your Nikon Digital Camera, the skin softening may not produce the desired results depending on shooting conditions. For pictures with four or more faces, try using Skin softening in the playback menu.

Why can't I use digital zoom on my Nikon COOLPIX P100?
    • J
      James CohenSep 3, 2025
If the digital zoom cannot be used on your Nikon Digital Camera, check if 'Off' is selected for Digital zoom in the setup menu. Also, digital zoom cannot be used in certain situations, such as when the focus mode is set to E (manual focus), or when specific scene modes like Portrait, Night portrait, Night landscape, Fireworks show, or Backlit scene HDR are selected. It is also disabled when scene auto selector is chosen, when smart portrait mode or subject tracking mode is selected, or when Multi-shot 16 is set for Continuous in the shooting menu.
