How to fix a Nikon COOLPIX S7000 that is on but not responding?
A
Amber HarrisAug 23, 2025
If your Nikon Digital Camera is on but not responding, first wait for any recording to end. If the issue continues, turn the camera off. If it still doesn't turn off, remove and reinsert the battery (or batteries). If you're using an AC adapter, disconnect and reconnect it. Note that while any data currently being recorded will be lost, data already recorded will not be affected.

Why does 'O' flash on my Nikon COOLPIX S7000 screen?
W
williamfriedmanAug 31, 2025
If the camera clock hasn't been set, 'O' will flash on the shooting screen. Images and movies saved before setting the clock will be dated “00/00/ 0000 00:00” and “01/01/2015 00:00” respectively. To fix this, set the correct time and date for Time zone and date in the setup menu.

If your Nikon Digital Camera turns off without warning, it could be due to a few reasons:
* The camera automatically turns off to save power (auto off function).
* The camera and battery may not work properly at low temperatures.
* The inside of the camera has become hot.
If the camera has become hot, leave it off until it cools down, and then try turning it on again.

If your Nikon Digital Camera images are too dark (underexposed), it could be due to several reasons:
* The flash mode is set to W (off).
* The flash window is blocked.
* The subject is beyond the range of the flash.
To resolve this:
* Adjust exposure compensation.
* Increase ISO sensitivity.
* If the subject is backlit, select Backlighting scene mode or set the flash mode setting to X (fill flash).
