Shooting Features
Using the Self-timer
The camera is equipped with a self-timer that releases the shutter about ten
seconds or two seconds after you press the shutter-release button.
Set Vibration reduction to Off in the setup menu (A77) when using a
tripod to stabilize the camera.
1 Tap the self-timer icon.
2 Tap Y or Z.
• Y 10 s: Use on important
occasions, such as weddings.
• Z 2 s: Use to prevent camera
shake.
3 Frame the picture
and press the
shutter-release
button halfway.
• Focus and exposure
are locked.
