What to do if my Nikon KEYMISSION 170 Digital Camera is on but not responding?
    • E
      edward11Aug 15, 2025
If your Nikon Digital Camera is on but not responding, wait for any recording to finish. If the issue continues, turn the camera off. If it still doesn't turn off, remove and reinsert the battery. If you're using an AC adapter, disconnect and reconnect it. Note that while any data being recorded will be lost, previously recorded data will remain unaffected.

Why the battery inserted in my Nikon KEYMISSION 170 Digital Camera cannot be charged?
    • T
      Tommy WardAug 21, 2025
If the battery in your Nikon Digital Camera isn't charging: * First, confirm all connections are secure. * If charging via computer, ensure 'Charge by computer' is enabled in the camera settings menu. * Note that charging is not possible if the camera’s display language and date/time haven't been set or were reset after the clock battery was exhausted. Use the Charging AC Adapter to charge the battery. * Charging might stop if the computer enters sleep mode. * Depending on your computer's specifications, settings, and status, charging may not be possible.

    • A
      amy81Aug 26, 2025
If the monitor on your Nikon Digital Camera is hard to see, it could be due to a bright surrounding area. Try moving to a darker place or adjusting the screen brightness.

Why does my Nikon Digital Camera turn off without warning?
    • B
      bkochAug 28, 2025
Your Nikon Digital Camera may be turning off to save power using the auto-off function. Also, the camera and battery may not work properly at low temperatures. If you are recording a movie with a size/frame rate of 2160/30p, 2160/25p, HS 1080/4×, or HS 720/8×, and the battery temperature drops below 0°C (32°F), the camera will stop recording and turn off automatically. If the inside of the camera has become hot, leave the camera off until it cools down, and then try turning it on again.

What to do if the monitor is blank on my Nikon KEYMISSION 170?
    • M
      mrobertsAug 31, 2025
If the monitor on your Nikon Digital Camera is blank: * Check if you accidentally pressed the H button on the back of the camera, as this turns the monitor on or off. * Ensure the camera is powered on. * The camera may have turned off automatically to save power (auto-off function). * Verify that the camera isn't connected to a TV or computer. * If connected to a smart device via Wi-Fi, the camera may be operated by remote control. * If using an AC adapter, check the cord connection. * Note that the monitor turns off 30 seconds after you start recording a movie by default. You can adjust this setting in the setup menu.

Why does 'O' flash on the screen of my Nikon KEYMISSION 170 Digital Camera?
    • K
      Kaitlyn PhelpsSep 4, 2025
If 'O' is flashing on your Nikon Digital Camera's screen, it indicates that the camera clock hasn't been set. Images and movies saved before setting the clock will be dated “00/00/0000 00:00” and “01/01/ 2016 00:00” respectively. To resolve this, set the correct date and time in the camera settings menu. Keep in mind that the camera clock may not be as accurate as standard timepieces, so periodically compare it with a more accurate clock and reset it as needed.

Why does the date and time setting screen appear when I turn on my Nikon Digital Camera?
    • J
      Jessica McbrideSep 7, 2025
The date and time setting screen appears on your Nikon Digital Camera because the clock battery is exhausted, and all settings have been restored to their default values. You'll need to configure the camera settings again. The internal clock battery powers the camera clock and retains certain settings. It takes about 10 hours to charge when you insert batteries or connect the AC adapter, and it operates for several days even after the camera battery is removed.

How to fix if my Nikon Digital Camera cannot be operated via the smart device?
    • D
      Denise BarnesSep 12, 2025
If your Nikon Digital Camera cannot be operated via a smart device, first perform pairing. If pairing has already been done, select 'Camera & smart device' or 'Camera & remote' in the 'Choose connection' option within the network menu.
