Unlocking is carried out in the same way. When the lock is
cleared the message UNLOCKED will appear briefly on
the display.
The phone’s keypad and display are illuminated to make
them easy to read.
When the lights are switched ON
• phone used as a handportable phone or connected to
an external or fast charger: lights go off 15 seconds after
your last keypress;
• phone connected to the car installation kit: the lights are
continuously on.
When the lights are switched OFF
• phone used as a handportable phone or connected to an
external charger: lights are continuously off (always off);
• phone connected to the car installation kit: lights are OFF.
To set the lights:
A Press MENU 4.
B Use v or V to select LIGHTS ON (with 15 seconds
timer) or LIGHTS OFF.
C Press STO.
These tones sound each time you press a key. To turn the
key tones on or off:
A Press MENU 5. The display will indicate whether the
tones are on or off.
B Use v or V to switch the tones ON or OFF.
C Press STO.
If the phone is connected to the car installation kit:
You have four options (VOLUME LEVEL 1, 2 and 3, as well
as TONES OFF) instead of the two above. Follow the same
steps as above.
Note: When the key tones are switched off, DTMF tones
can still be sent.
