to comply with these guidelines may be dangerous or illegal.

The following are important safety precautions for phone use.
Road safety comes first
Do not use a handheld phone while driving. Park the vehicle 
first.      
Switch off in hospitals
Follow any regulations or rules. Switch your phone off 
near medical equipment. 
Switch off while aboard aircraft
Mobile phones can cause interference. Using them on 
aircraft is illegal. 
Switch off when refueling
Do not use your phone at a refueling point. Do not use it 
near fuel or chemicals. 
Switch off near blasting
Do not use your phone where blasting is in progress. 
Observe restrictions, and follow any regulations or rules. 
Observe infrared precautions
Do not point the IR beam at anyone’s eyes or allow it to 
interfere with other IR devices.
Emergency calls
Make sure the phone is switched on and in service. If the word 
Clear appears above the right selection key, press and hold 
 to return to the 
Start screen 
where an emergency call 
can be made. Enter the emergency number and press  . 
Give your location. Do not end the call until told to do so.
