How to fix low EtCO alarm 2 on Nonin Medical Equipment?
    • J
      jacob51Aug 10, 2025
If the Nonin device shows a low EtCO alarm 2, even when the patient's EtCO is suspected to be normal, start by checking the patient's status. Inspect the moisture trap and filter, and replace them if necessary. Also, check the sample line connector and visually inspect the sample line for any signs of damage. Finally, check the Nafion tubing connection. It is possible that an air leakage has occurred in the sample line, Nafion tubing, moisture trap, or internally.

If the Nonin device displays 'WARM UP' with alarms, first ensure the filter is correctly in place and replace it if needed. Next, perform a calibration and gas verification to confirm the device's performance. An equipment fault may be suspected if readings are out of range.
