Connection Mode
There are two method for the APP to connect to the light: by AP mode or by
LAN mode. No matter which method is used, it can be used as long as it is
connected.

This document provides a comprehensive guide for operating the K7mini device, primarily focusing on its integration with the "Noo-Psyche" mobile application for controlling aquarium lighting.

Function Description

The K7mini is a smart lighting device designed for reef tanks, offering various control modes to simulate natural light cycles. It supports both manual and automatic operation, allowing users to customize light intensity and spectrum throughout the day. The device can operate in two primary running modes: manual and auto. It offers different spectrum presets (SPS, LPS, SPS/LPS) to cater to various coral types. The K7mini also supports master/slave lighting configurations, enabling synchronized control of multiple units.

  • Connectivity: The device supports 2.4GHz routing band for Wi-Fi connection. It cannot pair with Wi-Fi through LAN mode. For LAN connection, a separate SSID for the 2.4GHz routing band is required.
  • Power-off Memory Function: The device retains the last saving setting when the light is on.
  • Brightness Adjustment: It is recommended to set the initial total brightness at 50% to avoid sudden increases in brightness that could harm corals.

Usage Features

1. APP Installation and Connection: * Download the "Noo-Psyche" APP from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). * Grant necessary permissions for the app to access the device's location. * AP Connection: * Switch the light to AP mode (indicator flashes blue). * Open the APP and click the Portrait icon. * Click "Apply Permission" and "Allow Noo-Psyche to access this device's location." * Click "SWITCHING NETWORK," then "AP connection." * Find the K7_mini**** in the WLAN list, enter the password (12345678), and click "connect." * Confirm AP connection and click "SAVE." * LAN Connection: * Ensure the light is in LAN mode (blue indicator state). * Press and hold the R key until the indicator flashes blue, then loosen the key to enter network waiting configuring state. * Connect the phone device to Wi-Fi of the 2.4GHz routing band. * Open the app, click the Portrait. Click "Apply Permission" to "Allow Noo-Psyche to access this device's location." * Select LAN connection and enter the Wi-Fi password of the 2.4GHz routing band, click "save." The device will try connecting and finish in about 30s, finally click "OK."

2. Switching Between Master and Auto Modes: * To switch to Master or Auto? * Red (Manual) / Green (Slave): Press & Hold the L Key. * Green (Slave) / Red (Master): Press & Hold the L Key. * How to switch the light to Master or Auto? * Indicator was Red (manual): Click the L Key to switch to Blue (auto). * Indicator was Blue (auto): Click the L Key to switch to Red (manual). * Indicator becomes Blue (auto): Press & Hold the R Key to switch to Red (manual). * Indicator becomes Red (manual): Press & Hold the R Key to switch to Blue (auto). * Note: Only the light in Blue (auto) can connect to the APP.

3. Default Spectrum Preset: * The device comes with SPS, LPS, SPS/LPS default spectrum presets. * To use these, select "Auto," click "FACTORY SETTINGS," and finally click "SAVE."

4. Manual Mode - One Click Viewing: * Select "LPS," switch to "Manual." * Pull the progress bar to adjust the brightness. * Finally, click "SAVE."

5. Auto Mode - Sunrise and Sunset Scene Simulation: * Modify parameters: * Click "Auto." * Click "TIME POINT SETTING." * Click "EDIT" to modify channel parameters. * Set the brightness of each channel at the time point, click "confirm." Click "close" when all is done. * Click "SAVE." To quickly check the spectrum, click "Demo Mode."

6. Export/Import Spectrum Settings: * Click "Export" to download your spectrum settings QR code. It will be saved in the photo album. * Click "Import" to upload your saved QR code. * Finally, click "save."

7. Configuring Master/Slave Lighting: * Slaves: When the LED indicator is always on (green), press & hold the L key until the LED indicator turns green, then loosen it. Then click the L key (the green indicator light flashes) to standby. (All of the slaves do the same). * Master: When the LED indicator is always on (blue), press & hold the L key, loosen it when the indicator is flashing. (Master sends a command to the slave, then green indicator of slave stops flashing). * Note: After adding a new light as a slave, the brightness is different with other slaves, how to sync? Operation: Click the L key of Master to turn the indicator red, press & hold the L key until the indicator flashes red, then loosen the L key to send data to the slaves to sync data.

Maintenance Features

  • Warning:
    • Don't suddenly increase the brightness, otherwise, it will harm corals and cause coral nervous, bleached, or even die.
    • If switching from weak lights to this light, it is recommended to set the initial total brightness at 50%.
  • Warranty: All of the "Noo-Psyche(NP)" products have 12 months warranty service from the date of purchase. If there is a quality problem within the warranty, "Noo-Psyche" will repair or replace the parts free of charge.
  • The warranty does not cover:
    • Damage due to modification, accident, mishandling, misuse, or if it has been repaired without authorization.
    • Exclusions from the warranty include but are not limited to damage to the product due to misuse or abuse, such as using modified bulbs and modifying electrical circuits.
  • Factory Reset:
    • When the LED indicator is always on (red), press & hold the R Key until the indicator turns off.
    • NOTE: Once the light is reset to factory settings, its connection to the device will be cancelled.
