1. Cyclethepower.
2. Navigatetothefirmwareversionsmenu(RunScreen‐>Settings‐>Next‐>Diagnostics‐>Versions).
3. Selectadevicefromthedropdownlist.
4. Thedisplaywillshow“Ready”toindicatethedeviceiscommunicating,or“NoCommunication”.The
device
alsomaynotappearintheversionlistifit’snotcommunicating.
5. Ifallthedevic esarecommunicating,thetesthaspassed.
VisualCheck
1. Lookforanypinchedorstretchedcablesespeciallyneartheboompivotpointssuchasthemainlift
andfoldpoints.
2. Ensurealltheconnectorsandcavityplugsareclean,freeofmoistureandcorrosion,andpluggedin.
3. Dielectricgrea semustneverbeusedon
anyoftheCANbusconnections.
MoveSensortoNewLocation
Ifthereisonlyonedevicethatisnotcommunicating:
1. Power down the system.Plug the device into a location that had a known communicating
device.Turnonthepower.Checkifthedeviceisnowcommunicating.Rememberthedevicewillstill
beassignedtoitspreviouslocation.
2. If
thedevicecommunicates,itindicatesaproblemwiththecableitwaspreviouslyconnectedto.
3. Ifthedevicestilldoesnotcommunicate,itindicatesaproblemwiththedeviceitself.
