Reposition
thermocouple
Position ignition
electrode so that
the tip is 1/8" to
3/16" from the top
of the burner.
Clean the burner
and orifice (see
cleaning instr.
on page 16)
Is the thermocouple
tightened securely
to the adapter at
the combination
control?

Clean
thermocouple
Is the input gas
pressure within
specifications?
NO
YES
Is the
thermocouple
free of foreign
material?
NO
Remove
control cover.
YES
Remove the
screws from each
end of the
mounting bracket.
Pull mounting
bracket forward
to gain access
to the controls.
Is the adapter
tightened securely
to the combination
control?
NO
YES
Tighten the
adapter to the
combination
control.
Replace the
combination
control.
Tighten the
thermocouple
connection to
the adapter.
