Measuring Compressor Amp Draw
To
measure compressor amp
draw
:
1.
Connect power compresso power leads. See Figure
18.
2.
Connect the DC power supply
to
a charged
12
volt
automotive battery. Observe the correct polarity
(red+
/
black-)
when making connections.
Compressor
amp
draw
measurements can also be taken
with the refrigerator operating on ac power power supply.
Make sure input voltages to
power
supplies are correct.
Ground Wire
(Green/White)
Neutral Wire
(Black/Ribbed)
3.
Turn
on
refrigerator. The Power Indicator should illuminate.
4.
Connect a clamp-on amp meter
as
shown
in
Figure
18.
