The devices require sufficient ventilation to protect against overheating. Failure to do so will result in a derating
of the variable frequency drive. Ventilation is affected by the type of installation (motor mounting, wall mounting)
or, with motor mounting, the air flow of the motor fan (continuous slow speed lack of cooling).
Insufficient cooling can result in derating of 1-2 rating classes during S1 operation, for example, which can only
be compensated for by using a nominally bigger device.
