PROGRAM
The PROGRAM section provides access to performance functions
such as recalling and storing programs, access to the Song and Live
modes, keyboard split functionality and more. This is also where menus
containing System, Sound, MIDI and Extern settings are accessed. The
menus and their settings are covered in a separate chapter, starting on
page 52.
The Program area features are all described in this chapter, beginning
with the top row.
MORPH ASSIGN
The Morph is a very powerful tool,
which allows for controlling several
parameters at once with one control
“source”. A foot pedal can be used
to control the level balance between
a piano and a synth sound, the wheel
to perform drawbar changes in a B3 sound, and increase the rate of a
selected effect by keyboard aftertouch – all at the same time.
The three MORPH ASSIGN buttons, WHEEL, A TOUCH, CTRLPED, repre-
sent the three available Morph Sources: the modulation wheel, keyboard
aftertouch, and control pedal.
A Morph is set up by holding down one of the Morph Assign buttons,
while at the same time moving a parameter control (for example a knob
or a drawbar) from the point where the morph should start to the point
where it should end. It is a good practice to have the parameter control
set to the desired start position before pressing down the morph assign
button. The display will show the start and stop values, as the morph is
being set up.
Several parameters can be adjusted while pressing down a Morph
Assign button, and additional morph destinations can be added after a
morph has been set up as well.
Double-clicking a Morph Assign button activates morph assign
latch mode, which allows for setting up morphs without keeping
the Morph Assign button pressed down. Press EXIT to leave the
morph assign latch mode.
