How to fix NordicTrack Treadmill when power does not turn on?

  First, ensure the power cord is plugged into a surge suppressor, and that the surge suppressor is plugged into a properly grounded outlet. Use only a single-outlet surge suppressor. Note that the treadmill is not compatible with GFCI-equipped outlets. Next, make sure that the key is inserted into the console after the power cord has been plugged in. Finally, check the reset/off circuit breaker located on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If the switch protrudes, the circuit breaker has tripped. To reset it, wait five minutes and then press the switch to the reset position.

  If your NordicTrack Treadmill turns off during use, check the reset/off circuit breaker. If it has tripped, wait five minutes, and then press the switch to reset it. Also, ensure the power cord is properly plugged in; if it is, unplug it, wait five minutes, and then plug it back in. Another step is to remove and reinsert the key from the console.

  To recalibrate the incline on your NordicTrack Treadmill, insert the key into the console and press one of the Incline buttons. While the incline is changing, remove the key. After a few seconds, re-insert the key. The treadmill will automatically rise to the maximum incline level and then return to the minimum level, which recalibrates the incline system.

  The walking belt may slow down when walked on if it is overtightened. To resolve this, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Use an allen wrench to turn both rear roller bolts counterclockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is properly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 3 to 4 inches off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened. Also, use only a single-outlet surge suppressor.

  If the walking belt slips when walked on, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Use an allen wrench to turn both rear roller bolts clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. The walking belt is correctly tightened when you can lift each edge 3 to 4 inches off the walking platform. Keep the walking belt centered. Plug the power cord back in, insert the key, and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the belt is properly tightened. If the walking belt is off-center, remove the key and unplug the power cord. If the belt has shifted left, turn the left rear roller bolt clockwise 1/2 turn. If it has shifted right, turn the left rear roller bolt counterclockwise 1/2 turn. Don't overtighten the belt. Plug the power cord back in, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes....
