Check for an Error Code on the Remote Controller
If there is a problem with the unit, a numerical error code will ash on the remote controller.
If this occurs, take appropriate measures as listed below.
When an error code appears, the display and the operation light will
ash together.

Contact Noritz America if:
• Any other error code appears.
• An error code is indicated again after the above actions were followed.
• There are any other questions.
Error Code Cause Action
Ignition error
Check whether the gas valve is open. Press the power
button to turn the unit off, open a hot water xture,
and turn the unit back on. If the ashing number
doesn't return the problem is solved.
This unit is equipped with an automatic service reminder.
Excessive scale build-up may cause premature failure
of the heat exchanger.
Excessive dust or lint build-up in the fan and air intake
may affect efciency and combustion performance.
