4 Visually inspect the seal to make sure the entire connector area is completely covered. If you find gaps,
apply additional Coax-Seal over the existing material and then mold it to shape
5 Repeat these steps for each coaxial connection outside.
Physical site survey
Perform a visual inspection to determine and document the physical characteristics of the site and to ensure
that all requirements are met for the proper installation and operation of the system.
Physical site
Make sure the following requirements for your physical site are met before beginning the installation:
Identify the roof area, wall, or tower for mounting the solution. You must choose a site with a clear
line-of-sight from the transmitting antenna.
Determine the access area, such as a stairway or a ladder.
Identify existing equipment installations and assess the condition of proposed towers or mounting structures.
Assess environmental conditions, such as temperature, ventilation, and humidity.
Cable routes
Make sure the following cable route requirements are met before beginning the installation:
Determine cable routes, building entry points, and any special routing or support requirements (conduits,
bracing, cable trays, safety structures, and so on). Make sure the total cable length between the access point
and the wireless security switch is no greater than 100 meters.
Identify necessary floor, roof, or wall penetrations and specify the locations.
Document existing grounding system and connection requirements for new equipment.
