Why is the NOVO Water Dispenser using too much salt?
    • J
      Jamie FosterAug 12, 2025
High salt usage in your NOVO Water Dispenser can be due to the refill time being set too high. Check the refill time setting and adjust it accordingly. Another potential cause is a defective flow control, which would require replacement.

What to do if the NOVO Water Dispenser is not drawing brine?
    • J
      Joanna GriffinAug 16, 2025
If your NOVO Water Dispenser isn't drawing brine, several issues could be the cause. Start by checking if the drain line flow control, injector, or screen are plugged and clean these parts. Ensure the inlet pressure is at least 25 PSI. Inspect for internal valve leaks, and if found, replace the seals, spacers, and piston assembly. Also, verify that the safety valve is open and there are no vacuum leaks in the brine line connections. Finally, check the drain line for any kinks or blockages.

How to fix low water pressure in my NOVO Water Dispenser?
    • M
      Megan BellAug 19, 2025
Low water pressure in your NOVO Water Dispenser can stem from several factors. Check for iron or scale buildup in the line feeding the unit and clean the pipes. Also, inspect for iron buildup inside the valve or tank; clean the control, add resin cleaner, and increase regeneration frequency. Ensure the inlet of the control is not plugged by foreign material by removing the piston and cleaning the control valve. Finally, if the resin has deteriorated (possibly due to high chlorine or chloramines), consider re-bedding the unit and adding carbon pre-treatment.

What to do if my NOVO Water Dispenser has hard water?
    • K
      Kathryn WatsonAug 25, 2025
If the water from your NOVO Water Dispenser is hard, first check if the by-pass valve is open and close it. Ensure that there is enough salt in the tank, with the salt level above the water level. Inspect for a plugged injector or screen and clean these parts. Verify that water flow to the brine tank is not blocked by checking the brine tank refill rate. If the hot water tank contains hard water, repeat flushing it. Look for leaks between the valve and central tube, checking for cracks or o-ring damage, and replace any faulty parts. Address any internal valve leaks by replacing the valve seals, spacer, and piston assembly. Increase the reserve capacity setting if it is too low, and increase the salt dosage if there is not enough capacity.

Why is there too much water in the brine tank of my NOVO Water Dispenser?
    • K
      Kevin BlakeAug 27, 2025
Excessive water in the brine tank of your NOVO Water Dispenser may be due to a plugged injector or screen, so clean these parts. The valve might not be regenerating, which would require replacing the circuit board, motor, or control. Check for any foreign material in the brine valve and clean the parts. Also, the unit may not be drawing brine, so check for vacuum leaks in the brine line connections.

What causes a NOVO Water Dispenser to fail to initiate a regeneration cycle?
    • C
      crystalpenaAug 31, 2025
A NOVO Water Dispenser failing to start a regeneration cycle can be attributed to several causes. First, check the electrical service and fuse to ensure there is a power supply. A defective circuit board could also be the culprit, requiring replacement of faulty parts. If there was a power failure, reset the time of day. Lastly, a defective meter may be the cause, necessitating replacement of the turbine meter.

How to resolve continuous flow to drain in NOVO Water Dispenser?
    • J
      James BurnsSep 4, 2025
If your NOVO Water Dispenser experiences continuous flow to the drain, start by checking the valve settings for any errors. Clean the control valve to remove any foreign material. Address potential internal leaks by replacing the seals, spacers, and piston assembly. If the piston is stuck, it could be due to motor failure or jammed gears; check the power to the motor, look for loose wires, and inspect the gears. Replace any faulty parts as needed.

Why does the valve of my NOVO Water Dispenser continuously cycle?
    • J
      Jennifer GonzalezSep 8, 2025
If the valve of your NOVO Water Dispenser is continuously cycling, it may be due to a defective position sensor PCB, so replace any faulty parts.
